Mobs see coral fans as full blocks too and they are much easier for mobs to fall into

Spiders can spawn in the farm because of the poor spider spawning mechanics on Bedrock edition. They can spawn in a 2x2 area on bedrock, and two of those blocks can be air or the trapdoors you are using. The only way to make a completely spider proof farm is to button up every other block in the farm.

THANK YOU. I made an iron expensive piston tripwire mob farm that's really not working because spiders were spawning in it. Used to make it in java alot and I didn't realize spiders had different spawning mechanics. Honestly was going to tear it out eventually and make a different version that would give me spiders, creepers, skellies, zombies, and witches, but for now while I'm busy with other projects I'll just put buttons and coral fans 😂

Mine is set up like this except there's no water or trap doors to walk on it's powdered snow so I have 0 wait time for the creepers to float down the water way they just drop straight onto a hopper line

I’m having some serious trouble with any kind of mob farm lately. I play on bedrock in a realms server and it won’t let me go lower than 5 render distance on ps4. I’ve tried making a witch farm, this farm (I made sure everything around me was lit up with almost 6 stacks of torches including underground) a fish/bone farm, and an all mob farm. The only farm I have that works properly is a spider farm and a raid farm (only half works, sometimes I’ll get them spawning ON LEAVES???) any help would be appreciated. This is driving me nuts lol. I don’t think this one requires a low render distance but it’s still not working for me and I made it the exact same.

I left the game on standby like what you did for a good 20 min while I fully followed through with what you said an then found out my minecart stopped.. and nothing fell through the magma blocks like 0. I got 1 from standing on the trap doors by the hoppers so meaning I'm getting the creepers an also instead of 2 way width for the water coming to the kill chamber I put a 1 block width an 7 down like what you had said. Hope someone can help me with what I did mightve wrong? My bad for the grammar an punctuation.

It doesn’t work for me either. But in the latest update (that came like 1 week ago) they changed the mechanics for mob spawning. So it’s probably because of the update it doesn’t work, sadly...
