Was undecided between this farm an JC Playz farm. In the end decided this one as it has the easier villager placing technique. Just waiting for my STONKS. Keep up the great work James.

I have a couple of critiques. I am not saying that this is a bad farm. It's a perfectly usable design, and some of the changes I'll mention will require further considerations. first the pro's. your beds are more than 6 blocks above the ground so your aren't likely to have golems spawning outside the farm. you've got 20 villagers so you can have 2 golems at once. you have the villagers in 1x1 cells to stop pathfinding. and you added water as extra security in case mojang changes something. so delinking shouldn't be a problem Villagers are in individual cells so this could easily be doubled as a trading hall. (as long as no ceiling is added ) and if there is a linking issue it will be easier to find the problem villager with the way you've built it. (compared to some other builds where they dump all the villagers into only 2 spots. ) Now the critiques. you said 10 beds and 10 villagers as an option. it's actually 20 beds and 10 villagers. you placed the pillows facing out in your bed placement. Village center typically is centered on the pillow of the bed. So a minor improvement would be to face the pillows to the middle to be that one block more centered you've placed the villagers and beds above the farm... the new spawning mechanics are a bit buggy. so if there is ANY block above the spawning floor the golem won't spawn. this is measured as any block within 6 blocks above the bed lvl. the result you have is a smaller spawning area. or depending on bock choice you could get golems on top of the villager pods. the new mechanics aren't as effected by spawning floor size as the old farms. but you could get slightly better rats by placing the beds and villagers under the farm. The downside is now the farm may want to be higher in the air because the spawn floor doesn't fully cover the golem spawning range. That or you'd have to spawn proof a bit around the farm. simplest is to keep the beds 7 blocks above the ground lvl. or more. (Edit: with recent changes the blocks above the farm don’t matter anymore. In the way I have described, that bug was fixed. However the beds do still block the spawns below them so you do still have a dead spot. It’s something weird and specific to beds or other similar blocks. I don’t fully understand it but I have observed it in action. I believe placing non-spawnable blocks above the beds corrects this but best would be to put villagers and beds under the farm. ) You could make villager moving easier if you used activator rails to drop the villagers in the pods. its reliable how it offloads. that's just my personal preference. your system works too. Lightning has a 3 block effect range. I would recommend a lightning rod off to the side or a dozen blocks in the air. lightning striking the leaves/string on the pods could still convert the villagers. There is also no reason to have a drop chute anymore now that there is only one lvl instead of 2. you could put a block of lava surrounded by gates over the center of the farm. so the golems don't need to fall. and then a camp fire and a single hopper in the floor to grab your profits. this would be a minimal difference. but it makes the build a little easier. and helps with the short period of time when the golem might hang on the edge of the drop chute since they start dying as soon as they get near the middle.

Also encase you did not see last video when you asked this is how you make in order to make a villager hold an item forever hold out your emerald then quickly switch to another item and sign out before he puts it away. Needs a part 2 I would prefer a few a grades 1. Build access path to villagers -- leaves work 2. Use Blast furnace and smithing table -- to trade iron for emeralds -- buy diamond tools and armor --set villagers to best options -- add extra villagers for Enchantments And a Diamond sword 3 put on item sorter possible with more storage and composter for flowers But love !!! core design 👌 and didn't know about string i hated fixing lighting strikes

Hey ik this is a relativley old video but do you know why the fsrm isnt spawing golems. When i made it it made me 2 stacks of iorn and completley stopped spawning golems just cats now

Mine is similar. I combined 2 other builds to make mine work. I made both separately and they didn't work so I combined them and now it does. Some reason if your villagers are outside of the area like in one of the builds. No iron golms spawn. But if they are like yours (or mine) above the water next to the beds. The farm works. Not sure why. But anyway. Also I'm sure water mechanics have changed. I made mine like an old build and the entire farm turned into a lake. I had to block the entire thing to get rid of all the water.

@@thirdhandcargo4252 Do you understand the benefits of a spawner (zombie) for a trading farm? You get full discount without having to Cure zombie villagers. Simply by Killing zombie villagers who spawn in the farm, you get a discount per kill, until it drops to minimum. Trading villagers need to be within 16 (I think) blocks of the kill (need to find a reference for that!). This idea is fairly new to me, thanks to @Prowl8413

Unfortunately not, iron golems always spawn on the highest part of the farm, which is why the leaves are needed on the ledges. That being said, you can make more than one in the same area, they just can't be above one another at all, you have to make sure they're in a pattern on the same Y level, or do some funky iron farm staircase.
