Your tutorial is okay. But I would like to make some suggestions. Firstly, it would be beneficial to tell the people either Windows hotkeys as well, or show them the path to get there. There are also parts of the tutorial that are confusing, because you call out a bunch of hotkeys in a row. Take your time. Explain slower. There is rewind yes, but some people, I being one of them... Do not like rewinding 200 times to try to understand something. Other than that, it's good. For other people: To fill, you must click the "Live Paint Bucket" Icon in the left hand panel.

there's also a slow down speed if you don't want to rewind. I use it quite frequently for the faster talking individuals on youtube.

Select all the same color you can either select with the black arrow tool and shift click each piece or select one color piece and hit select then select same color - after that hit command 8 or control 8 to make a compound path - hope that helps

How did you make the black background? After selecting the area, what do you press to make it all on black?

Hi Robin, You explain things so well! I am trying to learn how to make layers SVG files to make shadow boxes. Are you able to do a video to teat how to make a dimensional svg file to have layered cuts for a shadow box?

How well does this design line up when heat pressing? Butt Registration always create an issue when pressing.Can you press this design without any white showing through?

Why’d you have to save it as a jpeg before coloring? Why not color the trace you originally made?

The reason I saved it as a jpg first is because that leaves me with the outline - when I open it again and trace it, it is easier to color the inside pieces.

Svg files are infinitely scalable without loosing quality (also they have small file sizes)

I use a Wacom Cintiq 22HD but I have done them with a mouse it is just a bit harder
