This just helped me out so much I'm using more modern stuff (mpc studio black and Laptop) but this helps make my own baseline without sampling an entire records instrumental

Great demo showing the true power of the MPC as a synth. Well done!

Hey, man, thanks! Yes, those old machines definitely have some synth capabilities! You can make some lead sounds as well for sure.

Got to love that akai 2000 ,2000xl. Its like a big game boy making house jump, fine for me. And this double note on one pad is sick, I was hoping to hear some kraftwerk out of it, but still ,the bass was good.

Great video. I've owned an MPC 2k (on and off) for 15+ years... I've never used your looping technique as effectively. Thanks!

Thanks, man. That machine is deep and quite grateful for someone who wants to explore some more remote techniques... going to make more videos, too. Cheers, good luck.

@4:40 even the machine gun bass can be used for something @8:20-8:24 reminds me of Tetris and the bass line at the end was Mario Brothers stage 2 underground. ..lol...loved it

That waveform with that amount of decay makes the bass sound exactly like ragga/dub bass! Great
