Made my first synthwave beat last week. Really love this sound. Have to make more once I get the V Collection.

Every Nick Chen video has been fun and educational. I’d love a Nick Chen playlist on playlist on splices channel. Love your take on acid jazz or more synthwave like com truise

Good stuff man and congrats on the sponsor. I really dig Splice but ive never been a fan of paying for a limited amount of a service. Its like an isp with bandwidth caps, netflix with movie caps etc. just can't do it.

..Synthwave with a Serum? Okay, of course you can do that, but you don't have to. I would always recommend Roland Synth (the Junos, Jupiters, MKS, JX) first because they deliver the typical Synthwave sound directly out of the box without much else. On the other hand all pure digital Synth (FM, PD, WT..) are actually not typical Synthwave. In addition, the whole topic of FX is given far too little attention because it is an essential part of all Synthwave music and at least as important as the synth sounds themselves. Otherwise it's like Spaghetti Carbonara, but only the dry noodles without water, salt and sauce....
