Sadly, the string leg (bridge) is cracked along its lenght on my own tagelharpa. ☹️ Can you help me where I can order spare parts (new bridge)? I don't know anyone who can make them. ☹️

I’m sorry this is probably a weird question but could you please explain to me like I’m 5 what you mean about cutting the end of the fishing line and then tying it off? I wanna make sure I have the right idea. Cheers mate!

Nice job! Definetly gonna try it. Where did you get the dark wood renovation oil? I couldn't find any...
@adamnehme1513 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I actually found it in an old furniture store. If you still can't find it, I suggest you ask a carpenter (maybe you can find it at a carpenter's store or he might tell you where to find it :)

Its the Best that you shared all these Informations because I am building a Johhikko since few months and it was a pain in the ass to gather blueprints and information about this instrument. If you would be there a year ago you would have been the messiah for me. In additon ,I have some questions because i am now in the Stage of making the Bow and the Strings with Stallion Hair. Does the Bow need to have a specific amount of Hairs and a special Resin like cello or violin resin ? Best Regards
@adamnehme1514 жыл бұрын
I‘m pleased that I was of some help to you. Too bad I didn‘t have the idea a year ago haha😅 To answer your question: yes, a recommended amount of strings would be from 40-60 (mine has about 50). And I personally added no resin. I hope I was able to help!

Hey hi, i created a similar tagelharpa after your video. Things went great but when i touch the strings the sound does not change and i dont know why.. basically it doesnt play.. i have nylon strings and horse hair bow. Any advice?

@kiraragnarok59203 жыл бұрын

why did you choose this design?
@steve00alt703 жыл бұрын
How much did all the materials cost you to make? what difficulty level would this be?
@adamnehme1513 жыл бұрын
Hey! How much it cost? Almost nothing, I salvages most stuff like I said in the video. How difficult? Hard to say. I work with wood since a ling time, so my POV might be a bit biased. But imo, it‘s not ideal for complete beginners, and not too hard either :))

did you glue the bridge or is it free?

Brilliant thank you for sharing your work. I feel this should come with a WARNING though,much like found on paper bags. "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN (and the musically challenged)".
