Yes Doctor If the crown structure is already destroyed then we have two options 1) start with prebuidup ==>> take the putty index==>>do the treatment procedure===>> build the core===>> do tooth preparation>>fabricate temporary crown 2)do the treatment procedure===>> do the tooth preparation ===>>the the putty impression of prepared tooth===>>fabricate the temporary crown in clinical lab(anatomically)===>>send the impression poured cast to lab for permanent crown

I mean you have taken an impression of the tooth before the crown preparation, what if that tooth is already destroyed?

Yes in that case only Take the impression and over here we are doing an indirect restoration of tooth And then placing the same Building up the tooth in lab

Yes Doctor Crown is needed in following cases 1)After Root Canal Treatment 2) for Mutililated tooth 3) developmental defects So In cases whether vital or nonvital Crown may be needed Hope you got my point Doctor

@@AtoZKidsdental yah I understand your comment but when you take impression the tooth is already vital not defect then you cutt the tooth for crown the ideal anatomy is present in impression. In clinic the patient came with defect tooth and we don't have anatomy in impression what should we do like that case

@aseries9388 this is just a demonstration video on model In clinical cases it is always preferable to take initial putty index before tooth prep Over this index we can simply pour in TEMPORARY C&B and fabricate chair side crown or even build up in lab
