How To Make A Tooled Leather Blanket Roll

Today we will be making a blanket roll from vegtan leather. This blanket carrier is a fun project that would make a great gift. You could use this to add to an old blanket to be used when you go to a football game or a picnic. You could also use this to add to that beautiful picnic blanket that you are giving away as a gift.
I used a simple tooling pattern on today’s project. You could go with a much more elaborate tooling pattern or no pattern at all. You could also use spots and rivets to decorate the carrier.
Here are the cut sizes that I used today. You could easily adjust the size of your project to utilize straps that you may have or extra hardware.
Shoulder Strap 3/4”x 43” (1)
Blanket Straps 3/4”x 30” (2)
Handle Strsp 3/4”x 14” (1)
Carrier Body 3” x 13” (1)
