Glad to be the first to comment ;). That's Exactly what i needed: I bought the 1 inch 360 like 2 months ago and I love it although i haven't been shooting much with it yet. I really wanna start doing Virtual Tours now so a few days back i finally shot my first tour for fun, to learn and to start building a portofolio: My super cute bungalow in Ubud Bali, then this morning i shot the rest of the Garden and property all with the HDR 9 shots 1 exp. bracket and I'm super glad to have the confirmation now with your video that it's the right thing to do! The bungalow pics turned out a little too bright maybe so i should learn how to color correct them but apart from that it's such a thrill especially in the little paradise which is Bali. My only wish is that i had gotten started earlier! Of course it's still gonna take a while before I actually get more pro and get my first paid client but looking forward!!

Hi Ben, I have a question regarding 360 photo animation in Insta360 Studio. If I open a Pureshot DNG file captured with a Insta360 X3 in the Studio program, I can animate it into a film to pan around in 360 degrees. This works vey well. However, I would first like to process the dng file in Topaz Denoise and photoshop, then open it in Studio, and then do the 360 degree animation. But the program does not allow the animation because of missing meta data, that is probably changed by the 3rd party software. Is there a way around this to make it work? Any advise will be appreciated. Kind regards. Wynand

Hi ! I followed the instructions but after adjusting the colors, all the jpgs show an ugly seam line .. What happened ? I tried the changes on the jpeg and it does not happen, problem just on the dng. @Ben Claremont Let me point out that I use insta360 x3. I'm desperate because even if I adjust the highlights and shadows a little bit, I have this stitcher line. Please help as your workflow is not working for me. Thanks.

Hi Ben You always make these look so easy but then I make them look hard LOL So, watching this video, 2:28 that is the camera I have Insta 360 One X2 3:06 PURESHOT. Where is this? when I have my camera on PHOTO, there is nothing at the top? Also, when I put it on HDR, then there is only JPG at the top? nothing like jpg - pureshot like you have at 3:05 My camera is up to date with the firmware etc, so where am I going wrong? I also had a caravan on a site that had a farmhouse which I asked if I could do these photos, and they allowed me to do them and there were loads of rooms. I spent ages editing the photos in AFFINITY PHOTO and I even put their logo on all the TV's in the rooms, I found it really good doing that and I got a lot of knowledge out of doing it. Just before I was going to sort it out on KUULA, and give them the results, they put the site fees up £600 for nothing and so we weren't happy and so we left the site, and I never finished the project as we fell out with them. 👎👎 But I did learn quite a lot in the process and I want to carry on doing and learning more.

Hey- so as I mentioned Pureshot HDR is only for the 1-inch. For all other cameras, tap the icon in the top middle to change your settings. It should be there

Thanks for the excellent video Ben! I have found that stitching first then color correcting / enhancing afterward can effect the stitch line. Thoughts on HDR merging then color correcting the fisheyes first, then Stitching?

What you’re referring to isn’t the stitch line, it’s an added editing seam line from going too hard with colour correction or not using 360 aware editors. The workflow i discussed will yield best results by far 👍🏻

I would probably still buy the 1-inch to use for real estate photography. I have a weekend side hustle, so this would be handy in many situations for video and behind the scenes shots. I use a Canon EOS R5 as my main and EOS R as my B cam. Also, thanks for mentioning the software. Especially that 360 editing one. I use Lightroom Classic and they have spot healing tools. The AI masking saved me many hours of work editing fashion e-commerce model photos.

I bought an insta 360 rs 1-inch camera myself and do matterport tours. It seems to me that matterport does not fully support 1-inch rs yet, since the photos inside the tour are of poor quality and glare, although the photos on this camera are wonderful ... they say on their website that they will support it soon, wait ... Do you happen to know when this will happen?

You might want to mention that the Insta360 Studio is not supported by Chromebook.

Using the Insta360 nano, OneX, now OneX3, the latest Insta360 is a huge disappointment to me, especially in the manageability of the workflow with PureShot. Aside from the annoyance that Exif date and location data appears to be missing (they are found in the file names though), depending of what you shoot, the files are named completely different, creating a mess organizing the shots The settings in the camera are a nightmare to control, as they are slightly different in each and some keep previous settings, some don't. Finally, depending what mode was selected, you get totally different edit options in the studio software. It is really like each shooting mode was developed by a different team which do not communicate with each other. It is even so, that 8K timelapse can not even be viewed on camera, neither on the iPhone. One needs a computer to check and work on those. Especially for PureShot, editing options are mainly absent in the studio software. For the others, the some options like ColorPlus are sometimes there, sometimes not. Major popular 3rd party software like DxO does not know the DNG format of the X3. It is a huge disappointment. Can't say more than that.
