Grwat work man. I cant believe this is the only video on youtube that made a wall mounted shoe rack. I habe the same issue right now and going to do something similar to this but not as complicated

The type of sander is called a random orbit sander.

Could you cut the notches at an angle so the shelf is not flat? Or would that not be strong enough to support the shelf this way?

Hi Reuben, you could definitely cut them at an angle. It would still be strong enough to support the weight of the shoes

Is Anchors are mandatory to mount it to the wall? Or can we mount it using regular wood screws and drill them into the wall studs?

You can definitely mount it directly to the studs 👍🏼

For those unfamiliar with the term "Gyprock" that he was saying - Gyprock is a brand of Gypsum based "sheetrock" or "Drywall" products that are common in Australia. Aren't regional slang terms fun to decipher?
