Love the use of the white board. May i suggest, including measurements on your diagram as well as maybe a tool/ material list on the side. You are a great diy channel and just think adding those ideas might make it easier for us as viewers and increase your popularity. Just some ideas mate. Great video btw! Cheapest boxing bag ever - Use your mattress and line it up against the wall or line up a stack of foams vertically against the wall till you get to your desired height. Great work, Reedy -totally inspired by your videos.

Can you tell us more about the foam that you chose to use, and how/why you chose it? I have some real leather Thai pads with some sentimental value-- they're close to 30 years old and the old yellow foam is creating dust clouds. I'd love some advice, for a starting point, as to how to restore these pads! Could you find the time?
@Kewlus2 жыл бұрын
I got these pieces from a specialty foam store. You should be able to find a foam shop in your local area - they usually have cut off pieces that they sell cheaply. Test the foam for how firm it is to match the firmness that you want in the pads. Then it's just opening them up and replacing the foam. Not sure how, but you might be able to get help from the foam shop as they deal with foam upgrades for most things.
@TreyYork12 жыл бұрын
@@Kewlus Thanks! I appreciate it! I I guess I was expecting to need to understand or "speak" materials science/engineering to deal with the foam folks like one might need to do for functional weapons. I can unlace the pads, clean the leather, and replace the foam... I guess I was just imagining needing to be able to answer more questions, learn more lingo, and waste more time as the price of admission to deal with them! Thanks making yourself available and letting me know

@Kewlus4 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend high density foam that is 4" thick and at least 24" x 24" in size to have enough for this project. Here's a link to one like that on Amazon: amzn.to/2MdXPuw

Hello from 2025. Very nice one! What exactly is this type of foam you use here? Doesn't look like regular foam for mattress, but more like a stiff one.
@Kewlus15 күн бұрын
It’s an off cut from a foam shop. You can choose the firmness that you prefer
@Braincho15 күн бұрын
@@Kewlus I have one shop for foam around here, but they are all soft. Some are stiffer, but not as your one that almost solid
@Kewlus15 күн бұрын
Softer foam might actually be better. I think mine turned out a bit too firm. I would have liked it to be softer. The wide PVC tape (stretchy duct tape) will give it the outer firmness that it needs
