Nice job. Ive made a few willow hoops myself with a similar technique . Difference is i tie about four loose loops of twine around each willow stick and slide them towards the leverage end of the sticks as im bending them. I just flip the loop over the next nail to hold it until im ready to bend it some more. That takes place of all of that nailing and tearing up your plywood even more. I think its quicker as well. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming.

All my life I have been infatuated with Mountain Men and Longhunters, as a young man I trapped beaver and muskrat and tanned them and put them on hoops, hoop construction was never the same twice as I always made progress with each one! They turned out good, my mother didn’t like them in my room, she said my room looked like the inside of a Indian teepee, success, on my part. I miss my youth!
