How to make a wood pyramid on a bandsaw - Woodturning by ME

I don't have a bandsaw but I guess it also works on a tablesaw? Happy New Year!🧨

I'm want to say yes, it should work. However, I haven't tried it, and I am scared of table saws. So, do so at your own risk and proceed with extreme caution. However, I think if this method works with turning something on a lathe, it should work on a table saw too. Happy New Year!

Yup...a table saw will work. Just make sure you use a jug like what Megan used for accuracy in the cut.

You don't have to cut all the material, leave something for cut to hand, You save the tape and glue.

At what angle did you cut the sides of the pyramid? I want to make the pyramid in a box puzzle for Xmas presents. Thx for the great vid. Wayne

Hi Wayne, I'm so sorry, somehow I missed this message. The angle was at approx. 64 degrees. It was slightly off, I didn't feel the need to fine tune it, as it looked great for what I needed.

Megan: what's that foot- like devise you use to clamp the block?

hi Kiely, If you're referring to the blue clamp, it is Rockler hold down clamp (www.rockler.com/hold-down-clamp-5-1-2l-x-1-1-8w). I just drilled a hole in the top 2x4 on the jig, slightly smaller than the bolt that comes with it, and threaded the bolt down through the knob and the clamp. The clamp is meant for use with a T-track, but it worked in a pinch for me. Thanks for asking. If that didn't answer your question, let me know if I can help further.
