How to Make a Wooden Speargun - Part 6

How to make a homemade wood speargun from mahogany plywood.
This is part-6 of my homemade wood Speargun project, in this video i worked mostly on the roller speargun.
Drilling a 6mm hole for the rubber bands rollers shaft, cutting the side pockets for the rollers using my improvised milling machine, and cutting the clearence for the rubber bands on the top and bottom faces of the speargun , and a few more little things tha i´m hoping you will find interesting to see, but you have to watch the entire video!

+DRAGOX XDRAGO Hello DRAGOX XDRAGO, to tell you the truth i don´t know either, if using the plywood was a good idea or not, but i have a feeling that it will work! I think the reason that isn´t used by the professional speargun makers is because it is very difficult to work with, the cross wood layers, makes it very difficult to cut and shape, and all surfaces must be protected from the water, with varnish or epoxy. On the positive side, it will result in a very beautiful finish due to the different colours from the wood layers, and that is importante too! Thanks for the nice comment and for watching my videos! PS. your inglish if perfect! Not like my that is not!

Hello Álvaro Silva, I bought the rollers from a independent speargun maker called "Deamon teak Spearguns", the manufacturer of the rollers is "Ermes sub". No haven´t tried it because i haven´t finish the spearguns yet! However now that the summer is over and i get more free time to resume working on this project. I´m making some changes to the line reel design, part 8 will show the construction of it. At this stage each speargun weights aprox. 1.2 kg or 2,6 lbs. Hello Gilson Yamaguti, I used okoume marine plywood, and I'm planning to seal it using epoxy or marine varnish, to use regular plywood it's necessary to seal all surfaces including the inside of any screw holes, otherwise water will start delaminating the plywood, because the glue used in a no marine grade plywood isn't water proof.
