This presenter is brilliant, and he clearly knows his subject matter. The first third of the video was well-paced, as we had gotten used to in his "Sydney" video from a few years ago. In the second third of the video he sounded very flat, almost depressed -- and he was going way, way too fast -- I got properly lost a few times, and needed to watch it a few times to "get it". I hope he was ok. I got there in the end, tho'. The last third of the video was fantastic. I hope he makes lots of money from this content -- he's got great, great skills.

Okay, so this is video is slightly outdated as some templates are no longer available and none of the free ones look like a "normal website" as in they don't even have menus. And there are a lot more Pro (aka paid) elements now. However, I fumbled, adjusted, cursed and tried alternatives until I was able to figure everything out that you talked about in this video. I ended up paying for a one month Envato membership to get non-horrible, functional templates (ugh, didn't want to) and may have to pay for an Elementor Pro membership eventually but for now I have a much better grasp on what I'm doing after trying a terrible (awful, the worst) pro template from another site that basically broke Wordpress. I thought I was just really dumb but turns out that using the proper templates and plugins is very, very important. So thank you!!!

@@bolavaughn2903 on page settings my template wasn't switched to Elementor Full Width. It was on Elementor Canvas and when i switched it to full width the menu appeared. not sure why but that is what worked. Make sure the header is transparent as well in the OceanWP settings like he did in the video.

Absolutely! You can create anything you want with Elementor and just pick a template or elements you like with the Envato tool! Its, so easy.

While page builders like Elementor and Parallax are nice and easy for any amateur to create something that looks nice, these page builders are having massive minus points from a SEO point of view. Massive amounts of java scripts, massive loading times and huge code piles are gonna get big google penalisations

I just need to pick my theme but when I click on Envato Elements icon in my dashboard I am asked to agree to terms and conditions (no problem) and when I click continue the following comes up....( cURL error 7: couldn't connect to host). He means in your browser, simply have two webpages open at the same time so you can easily click from one to the other.

This is easy ... sometimes PHP software updates on plugins ...just contact HostGator chat and ask the to upgrade your php to 5.6 or higher.. Or you can go into your Cpanel and do it yourself by looking for PHP selector and selecting 5.6 and update it and save it
