Hi Pius! Once you have inserted the audio file into the PowerPoint slidedeck, and have the animation sequence "pre-set" on each of the slides (including the animation of the audio starting to play on slide 1), then go to the "Slide Show" tab in the PowerPoint menu, click "Record Slide Show", then "Record from Beginning". How did you draw the "T"'s for your accounting debits and credits? How did you get that measured grid in the background?
@TheFinanceStoryteller2 жыл бұрын
Hello! The T simply consists of two lines at a 90 degree angle of each other. Insert - Shapes - Line. The grid is made by going to the View menu, and then ticking the box for Guides. You can then put in as many horizontal or vertical guides as you need. They are "sticky" as well, in other words if you drag an object to it, the object will easily attach itself to the guide.

@TheFinanceStoryteller4 жыл бұрын
Hello Anil! Yes, I would advise to try different ways to record the audio. Try recording audio directly to the laptop using a headset, try recording on your mobile phone and then transferring the file, etc. It's very much a trial and error process until you get it right. Some laptop microphones are OK, others have a lot of hiss, background noise and/or echo. Pick the best from what you have available....

Sir I have a question. While recording slide show, if I'm at a particular slide nd I want to go to the next slide, I simply press next key but how would I go to the previous slide?
@TheFinanceStoryteller4 жыл бұрын
Interesting question. I have never tried going back to a previous slide while recording a slide show, and I see no need to do that. As far as I understand it, PowerPoint only moves in one direction (i.e. forward) in this case. If you want to repeat a slide, I would copy it and place the copy further down in the slidedeck. Example: you have a slidedeck with 5 slides, and once you are at slide 5, you want to go back to slide 4. Copy slide number 4 and insert as slide number 6. In that way, you can move forward from 4 to 5 to 6. As slides 4 and 6 have the same content, it's as if you have gone back.

How do you synchronize the visuals to audio track?
@TheFinanceStoryteller2 жыл бұрын
Hello Guneet! The key is to preset the animation steps on every slide of the deck. Then use step 7: recording the slide show. You go to the file, Slide Show - Record Slide Show - Start recording from the beginning. You click on slide and animation timings. Once you hit "Start Recording", you will hear the audio track once you click on it, and you can time your visuals to the audio track to make sure they are in sync.

Prior to saving/exporting, you can test whether everything works by playing the whole timed slideshow. On your second question, you can use File-Export and choose the quality level of the video. For some reason the video file is saved not as I presented it in PowerPoint, it doesn't play animations on the right time and is very delayed on some slides :(
@TheFinanceStoryteller4 жыл бұрын
Hello Tal! I have had some trouble with this as well in the past, when I was "overloading" the presentation with animations. Try to check which animation might be causing you trouble. You can do that by making a test version with minimal animations, and if that one works fine, adding other animations step-by-step and making another test version. With "test version" I mean exporting to video. Always make sure the audio file is the first animation on page 1 of the file, and try not to run multiple audio files. Also, before the step of recording the slide show, clear timing on all slides just to make sure you start with a clean slate.

how many bytes we can make a video ?
@TheFinanceStoryteller4 жыл бұрын
Hello Wahyu! After exporting to WMV, file sizes range from 20 MB for a 2-minute video, to 196 MB for a 16 minute video. Depending on the calculation "horsepower" of your computer or laptop, the conversion from PPT to WMV can take a long time. Any of these videos can then be uploaded to KZbin.

Hi I need to learn this. Please help. I tried to insert audio and create animation but its not working...

Hello Sangram! Which version of PowerPoint are you using? Did you test the functionality by keeping it very basic at first (add animation to make some text appear)? Let me know in which of the 10 steps that I discuss you have issues, maybe I can help direct you.

Step 5, 6 and 7 confuse me, why do you record audio and insert and then record the slideshow? Starts at 2:18 Can you explain that to me?
@TheFinanceStoryteller5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dani! The vast majority of the videos on my channel cover financial vocabulary and financial statements. I prepare a script of what I want to say (which makes me do those separate steps), rather than improvise what I say when viewing the slides (which could be done by recording narration and timing of animation at the same time). Does that answer your question?

@@TheFinanceStoryteller Hi I understand that part, cuss i done it myself. I am confused because i tried using audio i already recorded but it isn't working for me. Whatever the case thank you great video

First things that come to mind as possible fixes are to check whether the audio format is compatible with PowerPoint (when you do the "Insert Audio" step in PowerPoint), to check whether the audio might have been accidentally muted (unmute if that is the case), whether the volume level for the audio file is all the way up, and whether you animated the audio as part of the click sequence of your PowerPoint presentation.

Hi Emilie! I have no idea how to do that on an android phone, not sure it is even possible. I use a laptop with Windows 10 Operating System for this.

Try out several quiet places around the house to see how the acoustics of the room are. ;-)
