Abercrombie isn’t dirt cheap, but this channel pretty much centers around classic, sustainable fashion and investing in pieces that last (even if second hand) vs. fast fashion. Abercrombie is already borderline fast fashion. Requesting that Audrey focus on brands even cheaper than Abercrombie doesn’t align with the current purpose of her channel. I think those who are looking for that content will probably need to look elsewhere. But more importantly, focus on the concepts she shares that translate to all price points, which is something she really excels at!

Audrey could you do a video about how to pick stockings/tights for an outfit? I struggle with what colors to wear and how to match with my shoes and the outfit?? For instance I am wearing a white top navy skirt w/o tights I would probably wear navy shoes but with tights not sure? Help! Also I have a colorful wardrobe of reds, green, navy etc!

You have excellent style, ALWAYS. In MY opinion Abercrombie is already expensive to start. $90 for a cardigan (for example) is pretty expensive for most people. I will say that their denim lasts for a long time!! but most Abercrombie knits and poly mixes aren’t quality. They may have decent pattern matching but they’re unlined, surged together garments. Abercrombie used to have MUCH more quality items even 15 years ago. It’s a shame to see how much their quality has degraded without their costs matching that degradation.

@wannabe416 ай бұрын
This is the case with so many brands that used to have consistent quality. You have to carefully examine the fabric content and construction of every garment. Simply relying on a brand’s past reputation is often a mistake.

I always check a garment for the fabric composition. I try hard to stick to natural fibers, but now I have enough cotton pants and linen elastic waist wide legs. So I'm starting to consider some synthetics. A warning that blends with acrylic do not wear well. I have a beautiful blue sweater from the Gap that looks terrible after one season. Nylon is a much better alternative...no pilling.
@edennis857810 күн бұрын
Do you have a sweater comb or a fuzz shaver? Almost any sweater needs to have the pills removed occasionally (or more often). I even use a sweater comb on my sweatpants because they get pills, too.
@jacquelinea82248 күн бұрын
@@edennis8578 Yes, I shave my cashmere sweaters and those that are blended with a little polyester. My experience with acrylic is that it balls up but they won't detach when I try to shave them if that makes sense.

I will never get over the downfall of the Abercrombie and Fitch brand. When I was a newly minted adult, they were purely for the rich - that's where the rich went to buy their safari clothes. And Banana Republic was A&F for the middle class. If you wanted an Indiana Jones look, that's where you went. Then it all changed. Now A&F is mostly teenage weirdness, and Banana Republic has nothing to do with adventure wear. At least Banana Republic has stuff I actually want. I can't say that of A&F.
