Lovely video. I'm amazed the paint doesn't squeedge out anywhere. I'm going to try this for dotting. Using pens/tools is so time-consuming . Thanks 👍🏻

As long as you secure the cone with tape in the right places, it won’t splurt out! I love using cones for dot art, check out some of my latest videos. I’ve tried dotting tools but yup, so time-consuming! Try this out and let me know how you get on ☺️

Try and try again! As long as you have good quality cellophane and good quality heavy body acrylic paint, you should be fine! If you need any help, just let me know. I think I’ll be making a new updated video on this soon💛

@@mycreativemeditation Thanks for your encouragement. 🤩 I practiced today and it was messy, and I was wondering if the tip of the cone should touch the surface of your project or not quite. I'm also having lots !!!! of trouble finding the right grip on the cone. A tutorial about how to use the cone would be great. ❤🙏

Thank you so much! Wonderful video and you have such a pleasant voice and accent. How do you keep the tip closed so the paint doesn't start to dry out?
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation 5 ай бұрын
Hello Renee! Thanks for your lovely comment. Some artists put a very thin dress pin in the cone as a plug, I however don't. If you just leave it, the paint at the tip dries up and blocks the cone, so you can store them away safely without any leakage. When it comes to using them again, I just use my forefinger and thumb nails to pull out the dried up paint at the end, and voila, it's good to go again! Does that make sense? I hope it helps! 💛

Thanks for the instruction. What prevents the paint from leaking out the tiny hole of the cone?
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation 5 ай бұрын
Well, if you roll them tightly enough, the end should be closed. You usually have to cut the tip to your desired thickness to begin using them. Once your done, the paint at the tip will dry up itself and close the cone. To reuse, just use the nail of your forefinger and thumb to pull out the dried up paint, and it will begin flowing again. Others use a clothes or a scarf pin. I prefer not to, totally your choice! Hope that makes sense! 😊

Will the paint come out of the tip or will I have to cut part of the tip off before I can use the cone.
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation 2 жыл бұрын
It depends how tightly you've rolled the cone. You can cut the tip to your desired thickness - I always do :)

How do you seal the pointed end if you havent used all the paint?
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation 10 ай бұрын
Good question! Some people use a very thin pin. I just let it seal itself: so basically the paint will dry near the tip and seal the rest of the paint in. When it comes to using it again, I just use the nail of my thumb and forefinger to squeeze out the hardened dry part, and the paint begins to flow again. Does that make sense? I can make a short video to show you if you like ☺️

Hello- a quick question- if we use these pain on a satin cloth- will that paint come out after washing?
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation Жыл бұрын
This is acrylic paint. From my experience, acrylic paint doesn't come off clothes, but I've never tried intentionally painting on cloth with these cones! So I'm unsure.

So the tip of the cone is sealed? When it’s time to use it do you cut the tip off?
@mycreativemeditation
@mycreativemeditation Жыл бұрын
Hi Cathy! Yes, if you roll the cone tightly enough, the tip should be closed, then when you're ready to use just snip the end off to your desired thickness :)

This is just heavy body acrylic paint. For this type of henna-inspired art, you want to use heavy body paint not mixed with anything. :)
