I am trying to learn Dotting (or whatever it's called) and have been scouring you tube trying to gather information that I can use in my trek into this unfamiliar craft. Until I stumbled onto your video I was losing hope of finding a detailed tutorial explaining all of the nuances of Dotting. Sure, there are a LOT of videos out there that I was able to get bits and piecds of information from but I wanted one that put it all in one nice little package. I needed a thorough tutorial that explained Dotting from square one and you have done precisely that. Now I have one. Thank you!!

This is an absolutely fabulous tutorial! Especially for us beginners (that never even considered attempting to tackle this art form...until about an hour ago 😉) This has been incredibly informative. And the knowledge obtained here, will save hours of experimenting, frustration...and the loss/cost of projects simply by knowing what to expect and/or how to get the desired look and outcome. So happy that I found your channel, and was immensely fortunate that this was the 1st video that I viewed. Thank you!

Not that it makes much difference, because I was definitely able to discern what information you were trying to relay...but just as an fyi...the word that best describes what the difference is in the "consistency" that you're trying to convey is "viscosity". I am SO excited about learning how to do this. I have a friend who's sister is vision impaired. She has seen (in a limited way) some of my work and was asking how raised the dots are. Well, a bit but not enough for her to really enjoy the layering. So, I thought I'd go on the hunt and see how to start doing "puffy" dots. This video is extremely helpful and I'm looking forward to exploring this facet of dotting.

Hold the phone, Rachel!!!! So I fell in love w/ this art form when I accidently happened upon an ornament video of yours (happy accidents rock), I immediately ordered this kit (from you) and dotting tools (from amazon, ugh mistake). Started using the tools first and have been struggling with figuring out hold and use the tools alone. I felt like a 2nd grader using the tools. Figured I'd never graduate to using the bottles but decided to break them out to just see what the bottles felt like in my hand and HOLY SNOWFLAKES, I might throw the tools away I love the bottles SO much! (just kidding, they make great coffee stirrers)! They make me feel so much more confident designing homemade ornaments for our family homemade Christmas this year. Anyhoo, just wanted to say Thank You, I just adore your videos and have been having so much fun playing artist, bwahaha! Merry Christmas! Keep the informative videos coming, I'm sorta addicted to this art form now and really learn alot from them! Holiday Hugs! Cindy Barker

This is an interesting video and art form. I like the effect of the dots, but I prefer not to have to get so technical with my paints. I'm thinking I'd rather just use one thing to get my raised effect, then paint it the color I want. Then again, dots wouldn't be a central figure in my art form. I do a wide variety of things. when are you going to make your products available to New Zealand?

NZ currently isn’t accepting USPS packages due to postal closures. As soon as they reopen, I’ll start shipping again. Thank you for your patience 😊

I was thinking of getting these for doing fine lines but from what I see they work better for dotting

Some people use them for fine lines. I just don’t use lines in my work that much. The trick is to keep the tip hovering above the surface while you make the line to make it straight. 👍
