How to Make Advanced Custom Mobs - Minecraft Command Block Tutorial [1.11][1.10][1.9]

The base mob can be done in vanilla without external tools, it’s just more complex. To make it have a Steve head you just have to set the head slot to the Player Head, if you want a custom head you either use an add on/mod or use clever techniques with armor stands. Custom damage can be done with weakness and strength (if you don’t want particles type true at the end.) Custom speed can be done with slowness and swiftness. Custom hit box can be done with invisible armor stands with a tag (for example damage stand) and any of those armor stands with the damage stand tag will be executed by a command block with the instant damage effect within a radius and will have a delay to prevent spam killing. Custom sounds can be done with a command block with the execute [custom mob name/tag] and use the play sound commend (to use your custom sounds you need to mod the game) I hope this is helpful.

Also as a little addition to all that, a custom model can be done by making the base mob invisible and have armor stands teleport to the base mob with certain offsets.

Things you probably didn't know is that pressing Tab in while typing a command will auto complete it for you in 1.9. In 1.8+ you don't have to put the / in commands in command blocks. The auto complete commands thing will add the / for you but for /execute, the second command doesn't need a / to work. Ex: execute @e[type=Zombie] ~ ~ ~ particle damageIndicator ~ ~ ~ 1 1 1 .05 10 @e[type=Zombie] (Trust me, I tried it and it works)

You have to set a marker entity at the cods facing direction. Then spawn the the fireball five blocks infront of the cod and then do a data modify command that gets the motion value from the marker entity.

the area of effect cloud doesent work for me. i literaly copied all of the text in that commandblock except i put my mobs name there. but then i made it to just souuom the area of effect in 1 place and it said it summoned something but it summoned nothing. i think the area of effact cloud summoning is broken.

Tempered Koopa you forgot another '{}' after 'ArmorItems:[' and you need to put your netherstar into the first curly brackets, not the last (if you want the armorstand to hold the netherstar in it's hand) 》ArmorItems:[{id:nether_star,Count:1},{},{},{},{}]

Huh. I use McStacker too for my creations. Honestly I should probably make videos on more of the stuff I have done (I promise I am not totally ego-centrical). Also the first thing, the spider slayer could be done with /effect and it only works on the nearest player... doesn't seem like the best way of doing it but I am no one to judge.

I did it this way so it uses one /summon command - instead of having to run an additional timer for /effect and /particle commands.

It's true but you don't really need the timer if you have an effect within a small area around the mob. I understand this was just a tutorial and you don't really need to :) Also love your content, kind of humbling, makes me realize I'm not alone in my genius (just kidding, I'm some teen who plays Minecraft and knows how to use a few blocks to make cool stuff). Simple. You just need to adjust the area , relocate the cloud and turn in the eeggs. After you do that just arrange the eggs in order and match them up. When you've done that just ender the code "Press start" on your command blocks. Problem solved.

I have a friend that made a custom mob that has the name of Cloner, it will clone it's self but he used a players score and that made a huge army of them in 12.5 seconds and then he tryed to fight them but later he realised that that is impossible with almost 20 cloners that keep cloning there selves LOL then he lagged and then a cloner teleported in his face and then he died
