Herlina Herlina You can use the almond flour in baking. They can be used in place of breadcrumbs for meatloaf and meatballs! You'll get the subtle flavours of each nut depending on which you use.

Do you soak unaltered almonds or roasted almonds? And can you soak roasted almonds to have a roasted taste in the milk?

Rikana These were unroasted which is how we would recommend you do it. You might lose too much moisture from the nut to make it an effective milk.

I don't use almond milk because Im not lactose intolerant and Ive tried it although I never substituted real milk for it. I am not sure its even that much lower on the calories - especially those flavored ones

spikenheimer Hey Spike, they are both right. We wanted to use a more intense almond flavour for the chocolate almond milk but that ratio would still be fine for a regular almond milk too, however for the perfect everyday almond milk we would recommend the 1:4 ratio. Hope that helps.

A bit, but not too much. I've tried a lot of milk alternatives because milk really bothers my stomach, and almond milk is my favorite. Rice milk is good but calorie heavy. Hazelnut milk is the best but I can't find it in the U.S. like I did in London. Soy milk is fine i guess but I try not to eat a bunch of soy, it's not great for you.
