Awesome tutorial, Cameron, and another great addition to this series (I really hope there are at least a couple more to come because you've put together something quite amazing here). I love the track as well, it has a beautiful "dark tribal ritual around a fire" kind of vibe. Thanks again for sharing your expertise and skills with the rest of us, it's highly appreciated :-)

Ok I've been taking neptune for granted, well at least not letting it be great. Another great tutorial 👏🏽

Wonderful series!! extremely insightful. Watched it from part 1 to 8 back to back a couple times now. I feel like the arrangement in future garage is very nuanced - do you have any tips of arrangment styles for this genre?

Wow Cameron! Another great tut. Question: In the preview section i can hear some magical pads there. What did you do? If i'm not wrong i can hear 2 elements, an atmosphere and at bar 71 another pad?

Hey thank you for this Cameron. And thank you for saying "daw" because I was feeling like I was the only person saying it. HOLY SMOKES YOU ARE USING BITWIG! :) Also you sound like Donut Operator. haha. (Just a little)

Glad you enjoyed the video! Never heard of Donut Operator but I'll check them out!

Nice tutorial, cool tip with Neptune, I hardly ever use it although I'm Reason user for a long time :) Besides that I really liked bass hits in Blood Eagle, any chance that there are presets for those in any of your sample/preset packs? Happy to pay for inspiration :)

Is there some kind of sidechain/ducking effect on the reverb? 13:13

Hi, Cameron! What`s your algorithm of making and placing vocal chops during producing session? Do you always place them after making drum elements or in the end of all session?To be honest, I really have a mess with it!
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Yo! It really just depends on the track. Sometimes a vocal line comes together really early on, sometimes it's even the start of a track. Other times, it may not be until the last second that I really sit down and get something going that I want to use.

You ever use the formant control baked into Bitwig?
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
I have! I don't use it all that much as it requires stretch mode be enabled which can sometimes fuck up the project a bit by warping the vocal clips, so i don't usually reach for that as a first choice.

i'm afraid i'm on the side that doesn't like much the sound of Neptune :( never used it once in the 2 years since i own reason and now the reason rack
@LandOfBits4 жыл бұрын
but this stuff you made with it sounds really cool ! i need to try it now
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a fairly polarizing sound it seems - I think as a raw tuning plugin it's maybe not the greatest result out there but I think it really shines more as a creative/weird effect unit.

Why it looks like ableton?

This is Bitwig, which was actually developed by some ex-Ableton devs!
