Another idea for magnetic tape is old refrigerator/freezer door gaskets usually they contain a strip 3/8" to maybe 1/2" wide and go all the way around the door. The strips are easy to remove leaving the remainder of the gasket in place and have a ton of uses. Oh almost forgot Thanks for sharing the video.

That is an interesting and innovative idea. Good way to reuse components to something that could be broken and to be junked anyways. Thanks for sharing!

Hell ya that helped I don't have to open 20+ ammo cans. I had to keep updating my sticky's. And they would fall off. Now I can just make magnetic id and a number magnet to show quantity.

Easiest way to do it is with a chalk marker can keep a tally with it to just rub off old number every time you add ammo

Pretty smart way to keep track of ammo amounts. Pretty sure you can buy blackboard labels pretty cheap if you have the plastic ammo cans and not the metal ones
@scottpatterson6863 Жыл бұрын
@@PewPewPark haven't thought on that mine are metal the chalk works great I started out with a magic marker works ok but the chalk is easyer to get off

A problem with magnets is that if they get placed next to another, the magnets can stick to each other better than the can. You end up with two stacked magnets on one can and nothing on the other. Mitigate by placing on hinge side near hinge, sides just below lid, or below/behind the latch handle.
@PewPewPark9 ай бұрын
I personally haven't had such issues, but those are very good suggestions for anyone who has.

Love this method...lol. Great idea, for easy making multi use, changab!e labels for ammo storage. What size and font are you using? It looks like at least an inch high.
@PewPewPark5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I was using a font I found online called "Black Ops One" and size varied form 54 to 44 (depending on how much info I used so it would fit on the from flap.) I do wish I used slightly thicker magnet sheets though. The thinner they are the weaker the magnet. They can slide a bit, but I've yet to have one come off the ammo can.

lol No, I know it's not that bad. I did throw one of my .223 magnets away because I tried to put the label on the magnet sheet before cutting it out with the straight cutting tool & the paper got scraped off a little. Ruined the aesthetics too much and couldn't accept it.

Yep, magnet labels won't work on plastic. However they do make blackboard and dry erase labels that will work with plastic ammo boxes. That way you can use chalk or dry erase markers.
