Thank you so much. I've made 2 pairs, and I wear them all the time under long tops with leggings (which is currently my uniform). It's so nice having these nice roomy pockets at home and when I'm out.

The puppies are my favorite part of the pocket video. Almost as cute as my fur babies who will be helping me sew my pocket, and outfit!

This is my first historical project ever and I'm super excited for many more to come. So thank you for making this confusing process so much clearer with these Sew-alongs ^_^ Sending love from my hoard of unfinished projects haha

@@BurnleyandTrowbridge Helloooo ^w^ The pocket is progressing very well - I'm almost done hemming the front! (I was surprised how fast it's going... nearly thought I forgot about some steps 😬)

This is so amazing. I started hand sewing my first historical project ever, an 18th century shift based on Bernadette Banner's video in the beginning of March. Now I know how to go on once I've finished it. Thank you so much :)

Thank you for this. I'm an experienced hand sewer with a pattern but my pattern calls for me to stitch and flip inside out. I was hoping you'd show how to bind it.

Oh god the pen scratch noise at the beginning 😵💫 It's a lovely intro to pockets, though! (And what an excellent puppy.)

I've just bought one of the pieced pocket sewing kits - should I prewash the pieces like I would do with other fabrics?
@BurnleyandTrowbridge3 жыл бұрын
No I wouldn’t. You could gently wash it once once you’ve pieced it together if you wish.

any recomdended guides for 18th century embroidery for pockets and or for garments?

Have you ever seen the book "18th Century Embroidery Techniques?" It's a great book and very inexpensive.

I thought it was a device issue for not being able to see it. I was trying to figure out the width of twill tape to use.

Does the pattern print OK on A4 paper, as long as it’s set to 100% and not fit to page?
@BurnleyandTrowbridge4 жыл бұрын
You should be okay so long as you print 100%.
@ragnkja4 жыл бұрын
Burnley and Trowbridge Co. I tried it yesterday and it seemed fine, since the pattern doesn’t get too near the edges. I was mostly worried that my paper being 6 mm narrower was going to be a problem with printing the whole thing without cropping.
