1.5m = 59 inches Lets round it off to 60 inches So your leash would be 60 inches long. For the loop where you hold the leash, lets say you want 5 inches of length. 60 + 5 = 65 65 inches is the length of the leash So we need to multiply 65 by 4 to determine the length of the paracord pieces you need. 65 * 4 = 260 260 inches (21 feet and 8 inches/6.6m) of paracord for every 2 strand s is needed to make your 65 inch leash. If u r making a 4 strand leash then you need 2 pieces of paracord that are 260 inches (21 feet and 8 inches/6.6m) long If you’re making an 8 strand leash (like the one in the vid), you’ll need 4 pieces of paracord that are 260 inches (21 feet and 8 inches/6.6m) long.

Very nice looking lead. One observation from a colorblind viewer, the text screens you insert with measurement guides are blank to me. Their is simply not enough contrast between whatever background color and text colors used. Great work and very well filmed. Thank you for posting.

Hey! I use paracordplanet.com. They offer free shipping on orders $5.99 or over and they're prices are really good. For the four strand dog leash you need to get either a 50 feet or if you want two colors then get two 25 feet. I was left with about four feet left once I was done. On the 8 strand dog leash you will need (for 2 colors) two 50 feet cords or (for four colors) get four 25 feet cords.

this is not using 8 separate strands but four doubled ones, so it's really a 4-strand braid.

yep, there are different ways to make it, I like to make leashes with a seamless looking handle . I personally don't like the look of the leashes made with a bulky section just under the handle that covers the join but some people prefer that.
