How to make an academic poster in powerpoint

Since making this video I have discovered that in step 8 if you use 'print to pdf' depending on what your printer settings are it could change the size of your poster. There are a couple of other ways to save the poster as a pdf. Go to File - Save As - then change the file type to pdf and save it. Or go to File - Export - then create pdf.

Oh my goodness....THANK YOU! Thank you for a perfect balane of showing how you can use powerpoint to a poster. It sounds so obvious but it is so hard to find a concise video that simply shows how you can use powerpoint to make a poster, that isn't 20 minutes or more long, or shorter ones that don't show the process properly or only dwell on a very specific part.

Thank you for making this video. I'm returning to my studies after 30 years. I have to prepare an academic digital poster in 6 weeks from now. I have PowerPoint but have never used it. I'm intimidated and terrified, to say the least. It's difficult enough to research and write the content, let alone make a poster.....
