I expect that you'll be glad when this series is done, but I gotta say I will miss seeing this beautiful instrument coming together every month or so... I need a new acoustic so I'm gonna get one built, but I am definitely going to do a follow along of this series to build my own as well. Watch out, rabbit hole, here I come!

Last few builds I've done with this style mortice and tenon, I haven't even bothered glueing down the fretboard extension, there is absolutely no need if the fretboard and the plane to the is straight IMO. Guitar is looking lush BTW, I want one.

Another great video! I'm doing bolt on necks with the bolt down neck extension but if you are gluing your fingerboard down it is very important NOT to use Titebond III, which has the highest heat resistance and might be a nightmare to remove for a neck reset;)

I see that you used Titebond original glue instead of the LMI Instrument glue. Since LMI is no longer in business, have you run out of it? If so, have you heard that the "WilsonArt 30 Yellow Wood Glue" (which you can buy on home depot online Model# WA-LOKWELDWOODGLUE1PT) is the same as the LMI Instrument glue? I read somewhere that it's the same formula (they were the contract manufacturer for LMI) and it even glows under a black light. Just curious if you're familiar with this PVA glue at all? Now that LMI isn't in business, I figured I'd have to just use titebond, but if it is true that the LMI and WA are the same, I'd be interested in trying it.

Why not glue the bridge first, so when gluing on the neck you can make sure it has the perfect neck angle and alignment? 🤷
