you can give like a drops or few drops of violet gel colour to your buttercream, so it can diffuse the yellowish colour

I would say a 6 inch but it really depends on how many people you're trying to feed. Personally I don't like doing the bottom tier bigger than 9 inch. The base looks too wide, in my opinion.
