that's great man. I knew there was a way I could just use a full chain without destroying it. Thanks for showing your way.

Actually .. it was originally intended for bike packing.. you use your current chain. You cant damage your chain nor your cogs..the piece of wood takes all the damage. Thanks for commenting!

Brilliant. And very resourceful. Love your solution to the bending nail problem. No trip to the store! Didn’t even have to pull your nails out!! Agree 100 percent with comments about down and dirty and not messing around with drilling metal. Can’t wait to try it.

the best design on the web, no drilling into steel bars, no buying expensive metal, screws etc. I was thinking that a wooden stick was all that was needed. thanks for keeping it cheap.

Hi i want to make this DIY chainwhip but i have one question : the size of the nails do not matter right - as long as they are small enuff to pass thru the links of the chain? I love videos like yours - i tried DIY ghetto tubeless tires and it worked too!
@pharmaceia1jimenez25 жыл бұрын
Hi Phat. Sorry for late reply.. internet is not available where i an assigned.. anyway.. size of the nail doesnt matter as long as it will fit between the plates.. finishing nails are ideal.. because they have almost no head.. or just cut the head off from common nail with pliers. Thanks for the comment!

You will destroy your chain by pressure of nails on chain

This is my sort of hack. Cheap and dirty. Though I laughed when you said you don't have screws. Who doesn't have screws?! 😆Anyone can get screws.
@pharmaceia1jimenez26 жыл бұрын
thanks for the nice comment. yes.... cheap and dirty..haha... i really dont have screws in my tool box small enough to fit between the chain plates.. and i got those nails from an old fruit box.. pulled it out with a vise grip
