For newbies as myself: Spline Parameter replaced Curve Parameter

Thank you so much! I’m using Blender 4.2, and it's working great for node changes. The 'Curve Parameter' is now 'Spline Parameter,' and 'Rotate Euler' has been renamed to 'Rotate Rotation.

I always have been in love with mathematics and I experience bliss every time I see what it can be done with it in Blender. Next time someone ask you why they should learn math, show them this video.
@michaelwilliams80911 ай бұрын
for anyone having a problem with the animations part or if your animation was working and then stopped. The "#' tells blender to 'add driver" which means it is only necessary the first time, so when you change the frame number just remove the '#' and it will work just fine.
@hili45452 жыл бұрын
Love the colors. +You can use (ctrl+J) in shader or geometry nodes to create Frames faster

I was thinking about endless bloom ever since I saw a video on Phyllotactic Spirals on the Exploratorium KZbin channel. I was able to make the flower shape in geo nodes by using the phyllotatic spiral method but just couldn't figure out the animation bit. This was much simpler. Thank you for the tutorial!

Great tutorial! You should use a software that captures and shows on screen all shortcuts you're making.

Wish this worked on the current blender 3.6 version. An update of this tutorial for the latest version of blender would be highly appreciated.

I am new to blender, idk if something in the program changed by 4.0 or if I got something wrong - But I changed the Object info to relative instead of original so that my leafs were not upside down and flexible to changes on my leafs :)

According to your video and your way of working to organize nodes - would be much faster to select nodes and use CTRL+J in order to get them in frame … But of course you can use any method u like 😉👍🏻💪🏻

How do you get to learn all this stuff with nodes in the first place, Is it coding or something like that?

from what i've heard from people who understands Geonodes on this level or above, they just played with them and had knowledge in some maths beforehand. Highly recomend you check out Erindale XYZ on youtube if you wanna know more and if you wanna jump into it, Erin has a discord where loads of people can help you with whatever you are stuck on.
@fatal5102 жыл бұрын
you need a basic understanding of geometry, and vector math. Then it's just playing with things for hours everyday and seeing what sticks. People like Bbbn19 just make garbage for 15 hours a day and eventually they go "oh shit! that looks pretty cool". the difference with new people and experianced people is people like Bbbn19 can see the finish line. They may be making garbage for 15 hours straight, but they see the finish line. Whereas with someone new they don't know if the garbage they are making for 15 hours will ever amount to anything. tl;dr keep making garbage until you find gold. Don't get discouraged.

It's a combination of already knowing the shader editor nodes (like vector math, mix, colorramp) and playing around with the geo nodes to see what works and what doesn't. Hopefully these tutorials will help you skip the trial and error part.

Hey Ben, thx for the tutorial. looping the motion with the fraction-node-setup brought me back to one of my "urgent" problems with geo nodes which i haven't solved yet: do you know how to loop textures in geonodes? i know several methodes in the "material node" workflow and with empties and modifiers, but with GN i couldn't wrap my head around it yet. if you knew a method that you can show that would be awesome! thx! :)
