It's not a turn ratio (ratio of primary turns to secondary turns). He should have put turns per volt, and I don't know how he determined it either.

Note for mains power transformers use the frequency either 50 or 60 Hz depending on which country u live, when calculating the flux in the core. The cross-sectional area is calculated by the width of the center leg of the"E" steel core lamination and the stack depth. The stack depth is the depth of the total number of E-I steel strips (called lamination's) stacked tightly together. The lamination thickness in this video is 0.5mm and this is very typical standard lamination thickness. For a 75mm stack you would need about 150 layers of E-I. Also you should Interleave the core lamination's the E-I the next layer is I-E or magnetic path coupling will be poor and excessive heat will build up between the E's and I's at the gap! Make sure the core layers are neat and tight with no gaps, bolted together!

You can use this 1 KVA transformer. Connect 5 in parallel for 5000 watts. Make sure that the primary & secondary winding parallel connections are proper. Connect stating end of one transformer with starting end of other transformers. If you connect starting end of one transformer with the last end of the primary ( low voltage end in inverter transformer) , there may be short CK in the secondary of a transformer.

What you call Turn Ratio is incorrect. It is actually called Turns per Volt. Turn Ratio is a the ratio of input turns to output turns (Np/Ns) which is equal to Voltage in to Voltage out (Vp/Vs). So the Turn Ratio for 170v primary to 12v (actually 12.5v since you adjusted to number of turns) secondary is 272/20=13.6:1, for 220v to 12v is 352/20=17.6:1, and 260v to 12v is 416/20=20.8:1. I have no idea how you determined to use 1.6 turns per volt.

He multiplie by 1.6 x 170 volts = 272 truns for primary & same rule applied 2nd or 3rd loops because when input voltage increase then we required increase truns if we don't increas turns so winding will burn. In secondary the more truns increase out put voltage is higher but output current efficiency is low voltage and current inversely

To find out the turns per volt u have to use this formula. TPV= 3870000/frequency.×flux density×core cross sectional area. Here, frequency is 50hz.flux density is 8958 G cross sectional area is 2inch×stack 3inch×stacking factor .9

How the primary is able to suppprt 1000vA with the usage of 20swg. Maximum current possible in a 20swg is about 2.04A. So the maximum vA @ primary side turns to be 260v × 2.04A=530.4vA. How is 1000vA possible?
