the thing about most DOOM tracks is that you pretty much have to decode the slang and the such ever clever cryptic wordplay. It's not that he's spitting nonsense, it's that 99 percent of the time it just sounds like it on the first listen. it speaks to his longevity. Legitimately all MF DOOM fans are STILL to this day debating over multiple interpretations of many of his lyrics because he's just that great and coy with his delivery and references.

Also, to add to this, he was also indeed a master of the simple is better technique. my favorite example of this is his line on "great day" from the madvillany album. to quote, "That's just the way the cookie tears". which is obviously an awesome way of putting a clever spin on an old favorite expression. It's the stuff like that which made MF DOOM such a top tier artist.

I once heard someone say: "the thought of giftedness is sometimes stopping you" (okay maybe it was me) What i mean by that, if u lean in to it you will become good, sometimes im not certain if there even is a "gift" The one gift there may be is the gift of dedication, u got that bro, have a blast, u got anything finished yet? Would love to hear into that

To say that MF DOOMS lyrics where random and nonsensical is completely wrong. If you dont see the meaning and broader correlation within DOOMS lexicon in each track then you're missing the key part of what makes him uniquely one-of-a-kind and impossible to emulate. DOOM is a story teller and it's the listeners own fault for not pulling meaning from it. Your music production is good and props to the attempt, but there will only ever be one METAL FINGERS.

Cool video and beat. One nitpick, DOOM didn’t “go by” JJ DOOM, Danger DOOM, Madvillain or DOOM Starks. Those were collaborations and portmanteaus of his name with said collaborators. Also his surname is pronounced “Du-mi-lay” not “Du-meel.”
