What is the 1.4 for I always do the owl method offset witch is 3 times the width divid by length witch gives you the distance between the cut

1.4 X Offset gives you the distance between your first and second cut when you use a 22.5* template. Around 3:40 in the video you should see the two marks where the template will lay on for a reference point. I got the 1.4 from a few good mentors they said don,t question it just use it. 😂

I have a have 25 inches metal duck length...and its 12×12 ... I need a offset of 10 inches ....can i use the same process..like you did in this video...i don't have the template...can i use my square ....nornal square....and put 22.5 on it ?

you should try and use the male tool and cut two of your cuts to make the connection stronger

It's actually 1.41 11:06 doesntit really matter on small Cuts but on larger it would make a difference

A old timer showed a way to make a offset with a tape measure

The easiest way to make an offset is just times it by 2 so if you're going to 3 inch offset but you need to do in between the marks is measure it'll be six just times the three by two if it's a 7-inch offset it'll be a 14 you see how I did that 7 inch offset times it by two 12-in offset times it by that is the easiest way to do it and plus you need to know the length so how far off is your offset so if you got a piece of duck in the air and you got to go a little bit further I mean your ducks going to be attached so you know it need to know where the offsets going to be can you measure to the offset spot and then you just times it by 2 it's pretty simple
