How to make an RC sailboat Beneteau 37 build part 5

Video number 5 of the series for building a scale radio-controlled sailboat of the Beneteau Oceanis 37, is a DIY project in which I show how to make an RC sailboat from scratch using 3d modeling based on images top and side of the model, then designed a creates molds using 3d printing.
In this episode, I will show the construction of the rudder, a new technique to prepare and produce fiberglass pieces in this case the deck of the boat and last the bulkheads aliments. I will show you all the problems that I faced and ways to solve them.

I think you are a genius. And have a lot of patience. To do what you are doing is not easy. It is the professional way to do it. I have been at it for thirty years or more. I have learned how to design model boats and use the plank on frame method of construction. I use the computer to develop the bulkheads only. For now I enjoy making boats as display models. Keep going you're doing a great job, and olso you're learning a lot.

The same has happened to me. Usually I let the gelcoat harden for 24 hours before I start laying up the fiberglass. Great project!

Yes I have to be more patient with the gelcoat. Also the one that I bough is with wax to cure in contact with the air is not ideal for molding pieces.

Hi i just stumbled over your channel when searching for rc sailboats 🙂,the only remark i have dont mix aluminium with steel, it can corrode,otherwise keep up the awesome work,i hope to see it in the water in the end
