Okay. So you are literally the ONLY tutorial I've been able to follow without some issue or outdating in the code? and I'd just like to say, I've NEVER understood code more than before your tutorials. Legit. You're so comprehensive and friendly and approachable with the way you go about your tutorials instead of robotic, and it really caused me to start semi-understanding what you were saying! Granted, will I still need to reference this code anytime I wanna make another top down project? most likely. until it becomes muscle memory of course, but DAMN. Thanks for making this so fun!

My friend, such a well-made tutorial is hard to come by! Congratulations indeed. You've managed to explain things to me that I had never understood in years, and English is not my native language... @peytonburnham43163 жыл бұрын
Hm, interesting. If they are showing up in the room editor okay i can only think of a couple things. 1. If you have more than 1 room in your project, make sure the room you put the tiles in is the first in the room order. you could be editing 1 room, but when you start the game you end up in another. 2.make sure your layer is set to visible and make sure it has a lower number in "depth" than any of the background layers (but this should already be the case) sorry i cant help out more!

btw, if you want to make different objects that have collision instead of putting: if (place_meeting(x + hsp, y, obj_collision_1) || place_meeting(x + hsp, y, obj_collision_2)) You can make a parent for all collisions and detect for the parent: if place_meeting(x + hsp, y, obj_collision_parent) And then it makes it easier to add more
