I hardly understood any tutorial on here, until I came across Dami Dimensions. The most interesting part of your work is the Neatness, tells a lot about your personality. Thank you for making learning easy... ❤️❤️

Hi Dami, lovely dress and thanks for the video. Can I reduce the span on the dress? That is instead of using ×3 of the chest circumference, I use ×2. Will it come out as nice?

Hi Dami, I’ve always wanted a floaty dress. Thank you so much. You are ridiculously talented. I’m a little confused by the word ‘span’ do you mean the length of the fabric? Do you have another word for span? I want to try understand 🙂
@juetharampou43643 жыл бұрын
It's her other way of saying circumference. So layer number 2 will technically be 2(chest circumference X3) hope I didn't confuse you further
@maryrussell49393 жыл бұрын
Juetha Rampou Oh wow…I really appreciate your input. This has given me clarification. Thank you so much, I was getting so frustrated with myself. Now I can continue ☺️
@maryrussell49393 жыл бұрын
Juetha Rampou I think you meant x 2 instead of x3 for the 2nd layer 😉
@juetharampou43643 жыл бұрын
@@maryrussell4939 that's why the three is brackets and the 2 is outside. So the number you get for the 1st layer, you double for the second layer

Hello ma, I carefully watched the video and at the beginning you added 0.75" to the chest measurement. My question is, wat is the 0.75" for and wat is the sewing allowance for the dress cos I watched again and again but you didn't make mention of it
@DamiDimension3 жыл бұрын
The 0.75 is an optional ease. Then I added 0.5” seam allowance all round my bodice as shown in the video (use your desired amount of seam allowance) For the down part, I showed on the screen that you must add your joining allowances. The rule is, wherever you need to join, an allowance is needed for the joining. How much to use is up to you. Hope that helps:)
