I would have loved to have had an apron like this for my clothes pins, when I lived in a house with outside clothes lines. I still have clothes pins; but, I now live in a subdivision where there are no clothes lines. But, I could use an apron like that when I am mowing (to put trash in that blows onto my lawn). All the Pre-School teachers could use aprons like that (to carry items that the younger children may need on the playground (like tissues, wet-ones, and many other items).

I wouldn't recommend using for gathering eggs. You might end up with a mess. If you Google egg apron I think you would find patterns for egg aprons.

Beautiful harvest apron. I will have to try your short cuts. Hard to break away from the methods of the home ecc teachers of 50 years ago.💜🐞
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thank you and I agree that sometimes we just do things like we were taught without thinking about it but for me, speeding things up adds to my bottom dollar to feed my household so shortcuts really make a difference for me and as long as the quality of my garment or item isn't compromised it is a win win for me. Thank you so much for commenting! I really appreciate it!

Great tutorial--I love this and usually only think of full length aprons to make, but this would be very handy. This would be an awesome project for using the shirt of a loved one who has passed.

Thanks for the video. This is my third video. You are reading my mind. I need a garment to harvest. I am more interested in a vest, but I love your apron. Thanks for all the hard work you do. I have never done a garment, but I think I will try your design build into a Japanese apron. What do you think?

I absolutely love this harvest apron...I want to make one like the yellow with contrast. Can you send me the measurements ❤
@SherryJonesDesigns10 ай бұрын
The width and height is determined by the size of the shirt you use in the upcycle. I'm not sure which one you want the measurements from but the yellow ones are still in my store and the measurements are in the listings. The link to my store is in the description. Let me know if you need more info.

Great job on the narrative as well as the speed. Very supportive, very honest, and your so relatable! What scissors do you use? They look very sturdy and sharp. The thicker seams your cutting through so smoothly. May I offer some suggestions? Remind folks they can slow the video down or pause it if necessary.
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm so new at all of this. That is a great idea to let people know it can be slowed down. Today KZbin told me I can make longer videos! That will let me slow things down a bit but I still want it to flow well. I have two pair of scissors. The black ones, believe it or not, I got from Temu for like 8 bucks and they are absolutely awesome. My silver ones are Gingher and they resharpen really nicely. Thank you so much for commenting and everything. I really really appreciate it!

You tube has a setting on the bottom screen to slow down the video on the parts you need to see in more detail. I can make them longer now that KZbin has let me out of its prison...ha ha. They gave me 15 minutes before I reached a certain number of subs. So thank you to all of you for subbing and commenting and liking and sharing! You all are such a blessing!

I always seem to head out to the garden with nothing to put my produce in haha! I need a harvest apron. Appreciated the tips on making a secure button loop and an easier way to make a tie strap-flipping them around is so fiddly!

Rally good idea but went way too fast for me to follow
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
You can slow it down. Just click the settings button in the bottom corner and slow it down. KZbin only gave me 15 minutes to make a video when I started but now I can go slower and make it easier to understand. Sorry you had trouble with it.
@donnarichey144 Жыл бұрын
You lost me moving on too fast for a beginner wanting to learn. Thanks for sharing.
@sharonlalli1414 Жыл бұрын
Definitely not for a beginner. Cutting measurements only orally given. Needs to be printed.
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
If it helps, you can slow it down and even pause the video. At the bottom of the video there is a button that lets you slow it down. When starting KZbin, they give you 15 min. per video so I had to speed it up but I knew my viewers could slow it down. Thank you for commenting and sorry you had trouble watching it. Also, I can't give exact measurements because there aren't any to give. Each shirt is a different size. Upcycling is different than pattern sewing because each person may be working with a different size garment. It isn't like traditional sewing with cut out patterns and fabric in perfect lengths. I will cover some of this in my upcycling mind set video I'm making. Hope that helps.
@nanasdoodle Жыл бұрын
Yes, hit the settings icon and the video speed comes up near the bottom of the drop screen. You can slow it to 75/50/25%. Not to mention you can keep hitting the pause button as needed. Very helpful for instructional videos!
