This is a beautiful way to use up all those fabric scraps and remnants in your sewing space. Adorable, love the kitty 😻 I too had a skin cancer removed from my chin. When people would stare at me, I would smile and say "cut myself shaving". This would stop the staring 🤣 Face heals slowly, so no laughing or sneezing. And keep the wound moist to prevent scaring, a lot of people use neosporin, or baby ointment, but I just used petroleum jelly, no scar, but like you, I love the sun, so if you look closely you can see the new skin is a little pale against a tan face. It has darkened a little over the years and you can always use a different shade of makeup on the line if you are getting a photo or special event. Your dermatologist did a great job to minimize scarring. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Wow! Your new skirt is beautiful; and it looks wonderful on you. It also looks warm and comfortable. Could you have sewed the skirt to the top of the pants (keeping the pant legs attached to cover and keep your legs warm under the skirt). It's not just your eyes, I have trouble sewing and cutting dark colors also. I have already had eye surgery twice to correct the problem. I'm sure we are not the only ones.

Tracy, if your machine doesn't allow basting, you can zigzag over crochet cotton, and then pull that to gather. It's easier than hand basting!

I'm sorry you're having to go through skin cancer removal. I've not had it but had relatives that did. Increase your vitamin C, vitamin A through lots of vegetables and fruit. Use a beef tallow based natural moisturizer because it's very similar to the moisture in our own skin. This skirt is fantastic! Such a beautiful end result and you made it so quickly. I feel like I could even do this one! 😅 Please take care of yourself and I love your content. ❤

Lovely skirt. If you are planning on going out on the boat again there are face masks and neck gaiters specifically for spf protection. If you make something yourself make sure that the fabric is protective enough. Don't forget to wear sunglasses and maybe something over the hands if you're concerned about dark spots. The water reflects the sun so be careful.

You can use almost any container, the issue is keeping the water hot. I usually use a large pot on my stove to dye fabric
