Another thing you can do is make a magnetic cover. You can get blank magnetic paper from specialist paper sites and print your own image. Ideal if you don't like the artwork or fancy a change. There's no glue involved.. Just get A4 size paper print your image cut it to size and just attaches to steelbook. Looks great on steels with embossed frames.

***** Ah I see. That is really up to you, as long as you use the exact sizes in the undercoverxp software when printing. Although I do recomment no less than 300dpi images. And I usually have my image height no smaller than 2000 and 2800 width.

Great slip! But the problem is, if I make it on a thicker paper, how could you fold it perfectly? I mean the thick paper doesn't fold nicely, the spine area would looks bad not?

Use an exact knife and a ruler and gently score where you plan to fold. Just gotta make a path of least resistance.

Yea so how do you fold while keeping the edges so sharp? when i tried the paper just didnt bend that well..

There's a tool you can use to bend without cracking the ink. I didn't use any tools though. I just bent it carefully myself. That's all I can say.

I created that one myself buddy. Just over right one you wont ever use. Rename it. Then change the sizes. Hope this helps.

I use the same size for the amarays. But when I glue the steelbook ones, I tend to glue it slightly further apart. I got the glue from amazon.co.uk

QUAVER Hi there. This is something you would measure yourself. So if you get a slipcover from your collection, just measure it. This is what I done with mine. I use mostly UK measurements for mine.

I know this vid is 10 years old but im wanting to get into making custom fullslips for my steelbook collection. But i want to make mine the size of ones like manta lab/blufans full slips.(i have those in my collection already and want to make everything match in size on the shelf lol) would i just add a top/bottom and make them wider to match the others dimensions? And just leave one side open? (Cause the manta/blufans have a spine opening) Glueing seems a little trickier with a top, bottom, and side 😂 any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kris. It doesn't have that option at all. You need to manually input the info into Undercover XP. Or just print actual size from Photoshop.

Just a decent inkjet printer will do. As long as you don't use cheap ink. Use official ink and you'll be fine.

first off i know how to make the photos right in photo shop but you DO NOT tell people in this video how make the photos in photo shop, you tell them how to print a picture you already had made up and how to put it together thats it. buddy the print sizes mean nothing when someone doesnt know how to make the picture in photo shop to print. if you dont make the two photos right in photo shop they arent going to print right, the picture would just be either expanded on reduced to fit in the print perimeters that you choose.

And even then why not just use A3 paper rather than hacking it up like this? Most Blu-Ray slipcovers are 1 big sheet wrapped around...and this just seems like a pauper man's slipcover tutorial of no real use. It's 2014-2015. Most inkjets (decent ones anyways) can handle A3!

I left out all the common sense parts. I'm pretty sure you know how to measure things. Most people liked my tutorial. Remember the tutorial is old and out dated. If you watch my videos regularly you will see I invested in an A3 printer and will be doing a new tutorial on how to do it with an A3 printer. At the time, I only had an A4 printer. So I was showing people how to do it on A4. As again, at the time, most people only had A4 printers. It's also a free tutorial. Don't complain about free advice. If you don't like it, scram!
