As an old Marvel fun, a real one, I have some hard time to appreciate characters like Deadpool and I hate all the alternative timelines/ universe that is what, during the years, made Marvel a Total mess, and everybody could come back from death, everything could happen.. Total mess.. the same strength levels start to increase like Dragonball, with too many cosmic beings.. total mess... I still Remember the times when a dead body, kept being dead.. and that could bring to new Amazing stuff: Goblin's death brought to the Jackal and Carrion. Amazing stuff.. and then people like Tom de Falco Started to bring people from the grave over and over and too many complicated plot that killed characters development.. in the 90es every characters had families and Friends.. then everything torn apart...

For me, MaXXXine did more good than bad but for sure it had a lot going on and some narrative flaws absolutely. Biggest for me was Kevin Bacon constantly stalking her, he already located her, pull a gun on her and take her to her father, revealing him much earlier then it could have become like a satanic panic cult film, bunch of cult members come after her. I would have preferred a different killer, probably just an obsessed fan from her pornos would have been good enough. I like stuff like 10 to Midnight, the killer is just a dude, Bronson still puts a bullet through his head. Simple stuff. Fear City - karate themed Serial Killer, just a dude who is found out and dispatched accordingly. Nothing deeper is needed.

I agree with it being the worst of the 3, I thought it was just fine. Hugh Jackman seemed off he didn’t feel very much like Wolverine and it seemed a bit childishly written because they just wanted to have him swear so often.

80's movies were the best. This was on TV the whole time when I was younger and we even had it recorded off TV. Although not one of my favourite favourite movies, it's one that I have fond memories of and would happily watch now. As for watching the same movie every day, I think my maximum was about 3 weeks. It was Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I do love the movie but when I repeatedly watched it I had probably owned it for at least a year and already watched it half a dozen times. I can remember being tired at the time but not consciously sick with anything. Most of the time I watched it from my bed but I fully watched it rather than fell asleep to it. I found it very calming, so many of my other favourite movies had rip-roaring action, boisterous comedy or both. Even the action of Crouching was calming. It's great to experience other people's love for movies and not just their interest in them.

Good list! I largely agree with one exception. I would swap Elena and put her No.2 over Jonesy & Amber. The back view of Elena putting her shorts on under the impression of a challenge occurring while Sister simultaneously comes out of the woods to kill her is iconic imo. Although I'm one of the few to like her character (funny, competitive demeanor and she was hot lol), she is outside of the killers, probably the most hated character for her being rude and stealing Mara's boyfriend. So her death being the most painful is rather fitting given that.

Although Puppet Masters was based off a book by Robert Heinlein, my wife thinks of it as a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I can't say she's completely wrong... The Blob has been remade several times. I don't know if people thought the 80s version was original. House on Haunted Hill, The Haunting of Hill House, 13 Ghosts (as mentioned elsewhere), The Haunting of Bly Manor (based on The Turning, based on The Turning of the Screw). Dawn of the Dead? Do people know that's remade? Do people know they picked the middle part out of a trilogy and just remade that?

‘Red Dragon’ (2002) was a remake of ‘Manhunter’ (1986). The predecessor was a far superior film by Michael Mann, but the remake replaces Brian Cox with Anthony Hopkins...both of whom give outstanding performances as Hannibal Lector.

That isn't the only or main difference between the book/original film and Omega man and i am legend, there is no cure being made in the original and ultimately he is the monster killing these vampire/zombie creatures who are sentient and have created their own society, "I am legend" is a fitting title because in the end he is a legend like the Boogeyman.
