+Bassin NW503 lmao ya it's funny how the KZbin community is full of kids that watch those kind of videos. Then creators make crap content just to get views. With nothing but click bait material. I'm not on KZbin for the money and fame. I'm here to share and help out our fellow anglers!

For pressure treated wood, you’ll be better to use an acrylic primer on it. The chems in the wood can eat away at the latex back of the carpet. Pressure washing the surfaces can also help. Always best to leave a small gap at the bottom to allow water to escape.

Hey I got a TZX190 that needs new bunks. I measured the bunk dimensions and it looks to be 1.5”x4”. Regular 2x4s are 1.5”x3.5”. The bunks seem to have a very tight specific fit on the hull of the skeeter, what dimension lumber did you use and where did you get it if it was a special size? Thanks.

doesnt matter....2x4s is what u use unless it requirs a 2x6

I'd grow my beard out like that, but then I'd worry about, never being able to safely use a power saw, clamps, a drill, or even a stapler. All joking aside, thanks for sharing this video. I have a boat that's been sitting for 14 years and during that time the wood bunks started calling it quits. My only option is jacking the boat off the trailer. As I'm worried it won't gracefully float off at a ramp

if your trailer is in the water, proper load, ain't no way in hell would the boat will ever make contact with the back of that angled bunk...
@BrokeBackBob45593 жыл бұрын
Never use pressure treated wood and should have used contact cement to lay carpet on bunks with. Would have made a nice tight wrap. Less chance of ripping off
@millieatr3 жыл бұрын
You can use contact cement ,, but it doesn't allow for movement or stretch causing carpet to tear
@williamriley25286 жыл бұрын
1/2 inch deep pilot hole is plenty to start your lag screws... Absolutely no need to tape a drill bit...
just replaced my bunks with the boat on the trailer.

Presure treated is the worst wood you can use for bunks due to the chemicals causing oxidation and eat your boat
@jamesbottleman74334 жыл бұрын
Marine grade 2x4’s are way better.The pressured wood does rot out after a few years.Marine grade will outlast the trailer.
