Imma try this way of making characters. Ive dabbled in sculpting but i feel i can actually get results i want with this. I dabbled in this method a bit before work and i actually feel like i can make a face that doesnt look weird xD. Imma work on it more later, but thx for these videos

My personal piece of advice is to learn to use the program first, model simple stuff by yourself and then these videos are pure gold because you will understand what and how they are doing these models

@@akash0156 that depends on the amount of polygons that make the mesh. I do not hage an specific amount of number. But you can try modeling simple stuff like small pokemons, or objects. There is a tutorial on how to model a rabbit with a magic hat. It's a good start to get you going.

The only problem I see is having painted the shadows. If you rotate the character the shadows remain unchanged. Like a black drawing on clothes. But anyway the result is so impressive and I love how you created the facial expressions :)

I am pretty sure thats how you keep the "anime feel" If you add a light source and render, it won't look anime-ish. That is how all the new games fighting games like guilty gear and stuff keep the anime feel, but use 3d models.

@@rargzs5293 Guilty gear actually uses an interesting topology and edited normals to get their anime look, they don't hand paint the shadows, except maybe a few areas here and there. This way, their shadows react to light source while also keeping the anime look from all angles!
