I was doing the same thing but with a rm125 I traded for a klx110 and with the stock exhaust is so quiet I just putt to the woods and then let it eat

I wish I could design a muffler. I would design a few similar to a baffled gun suppressor. Or any other type of suppressive configuration that silences and doesn't restrict flow with a straight directpath for the exhaust flow. Without a bunch of turns to silence it restricting the flow.

I recommend high temperature grill paint for it last longer and turns a nice ashy black color after its "seasoned" but love the simplicity I'm definitely gunna try this one out 😁👌

You can buy silencer mufflers like performance ones too. Not cheap, but much quiter

I have heard that a piece of pipe fited to the end and turned down helps. Im thinking about a radiaotor hose then reduce it down in diameter to say almost heater core hose size and aim it down in front off the tire. Wont be any restriction and it will be down. Only restriction would be the extra lenth and the extra length should reduce some noises

Sounds much quite but what about air restrictions.Is it still going to go the same speed or will that slow it down?You can also use Brillo pads and and cut a paint can to cover the exhaust and drill holes in it.

I did that to my sons ride, I had to drill a bunch of holes in it so it could breath because it was a Honda................civic, worked pretty good too, until it blew off.

Might need to rejet the carb. I want somthing on my crf 100 that can go ob fast and come off fast, without any carb change. I like quite to check trail cams in hunting spots and its tune the rest of yhe time. I have the airbox opened on top and the exhaust baffles removed. I have one stock spark arrestor and one open one.

I'm a rain hail and shine motorcyclist but even I hate dirt bike riders because of the ear piercing noise they make. It's a shame that they don't come with a proper muffler standard. It'd go a mile to save the hatred we two wheelers face because they think of these weekend jackoffs not us 365 days rain hail or shine types.
