I think of myself of having multiple homes. I haven't lived in the state I grew up in since I was 18, but when I go back there to visit family, I talk about "going home" ... but then when I am there and talk about going back to Los Angeles (where I live now), I ALSO talk about "going home." Home is both here and there. It's where the people who are my home are and they are in a future different places.

In Germany we say Heimat to where you’re from, and Zuhause is where you spend currently time. I got once a tip as I travel plenty as a musician, to think of what of your items make you feel home quick. It can be with moving the wooden music stand or the same mirror or a certain plant or when you travel your favorite pants or a mini pillow or spice for food. A few of these trusted things in a new place make a huge difference!

I love german :). Thats a great idea though! I've had a few things I always bring with me in my travels but never really looked at them as a piece of home. Definitely something to keep in mind - very cool idea, thanks for sharing!

yes i promise haha. I've got 3 videos recorded, just editing but grad school is a huge time chunk and I've just not had much time to work on them. Why did you travel so much? Were you working seasonal jobs or something?

I took a lot of internships in different states (and I also studied abroad.) Ended up prioritizing those opportunities and what they could do for my career over staying put in one place
