@FwrapperAqua6 жыл бұрын

Yes, gravel is possible, however, it will take longer to establish and last shorter without the addition of co2 & fertilizer. Of course, a heavy ammonia producer, such as koi, goldfish or other carp, could eliminate the need for such fertilizers; but the co2 would still be necessary....

Problem is the carpet doesn't last as long as it would from a TC pot
@FwrapperAqua6 жыл бұрын
Geffrey Manuel.. That is true.. This one will last max about 10 months
@akshaykishwan6 жыл бұрын
This is not the case, you dont really need a TC plant to maintain a carpet. You can have it with normal plants too. The issue with these seeds is that we can't be sure whether they are aquatic plants or terrestrial. Terrestrial plants will survive in an aquarium for a while but will degrade over time. Talking of shrimps uprooting the plants. This should not be the case with an aquatic plant with a proper root system. Shrimps can only do so much.

Cheers Raul. I appreciate your candid honesty in letting me know that there are other factors involved in maintaining this after starting. I've noticed that a lot of other tutorials here don't. And as far as the shrimps pulling up your plants, you may need to offer them something shrimp specific, such as autumn leaves that will produce film/slime on them for the little burgers to keep occupied while your roots have enough time to get established enough to create shoots of new growth. Not an expert here, just thinking that may help....
