This reminds me of a trick that my old industrial band used to do live for the ending of our gigs. We would start recording the last song live, right out of the mixer, in Audacity, then play a bunch of random noise while we flipped the audio backward. We would then fade the song back in... but it was the last song we played... only backward. And we would play on top of it, adding all kinds of noise, synths, guitars, and sounds. It was a fun trick to do and it sounded amazing because it would just flood the place with strange noise.

Actually inverted black metal could exist. If you assume that: Metal = X Black Metal = X +Y Noise Black Metal = X +Y + Z There would be two kinds of inverted black metal: White Metal = X + Inverted(Y) White (whateaver is the invert of the word metal) = Inverted(X + Y ) The first would be a genre of metal, the second wouldnt. If you do that, congratulation, you just invented two genres (or one if you just do one of both) without requring a creativity or a eureka moment or being at the right place at the right time (unless you count reading my post as that), if you follow that rule with other genres more stuff could be done. I would totally invent tons of genres with those kinds of tricks if I was a musician, but I am not, so all I can do and keep talking about those ideas.
