hearing stuff in your head is the biggest cheatcode. i notice most times when i feel i cant create its because im mindlessly trying to make things work instead of coming up with a specific idea in my head and laying that down. same reason its important to hum out voice memos on your phone when you are away from home and think of a good idea.

At the beginning when he was talking abt how the sample inspired him, I was thinking abt how cool it is how it can turn into a whole new vibe from an idea, even sampling big parts of things it can feel very different in the end. what I find helps is switching up the types of melodies I make because its easy to be creative when you are trying something newer and not something you’ve done before. Or just find things to sample on youtube

My biggest issue is i have a nice melody at work in my head...its usually a piano melody and i got no way to jot it down. I have fl Studio mobile on my phone but if i pull it out ill get sent home.
