I tried this circuit and had no success. It short circuited my power supply. I reviewed the physical construction on the video, as well as the schematic, several times and confirmed every component orientation, connection, value, and direction multiple times. Although, everything seemed correct as it matched the video, but no success. Then I tried making minor modifications attempting to troubleshoot the problem, but had no luck getting it to work still. I suspect my 555 ic got fried in the first attempt, but I only have 2 left currently and didn't want to take the chance destroying another. I think there is a difference between the schematic and how the circuit was built in the video also. However, I might just be reading it wrong, but if anyone else notices any differences where the diodes, capacitors, and 4.7k resistor connects to pin 3 of IC and the ground please let me know. In the video it appears he connects the cathode of the 4007 Diode, whose anode is connected the Emitter of the first transistor, directly to ground. Between the two capacitors where their cathodes connect, before they are connected to pin 1 of IC... But in the schematic, it looks, to me, like the cathode of that diode is connected to the anode of one of the capcitors, as well as the anode of the second diode and 4.7k resistor (who's cathodes then connect to pin 3)... Am I reading that wrong or are they not connected the same way?

So how does this works, capacitors get full somehow to current to pass through the resistance and activate accordingtransistor Led lights , then get empty somehow?
