You don't need to save to fast forward time. Just lay down and exit the save menu. It still progresses the time, without saving over your quicksave before you spent the money. Also Trevor sleeps for the longest, being 12 hours

This is the best method. The one where you buy Life Invader and reload the game doesn't work, at least on Playstation. Also, a tip for anyone looking to complete the "A Lot of Cheddar" trophy - buying stocks counts as spending money even if you sell all of it right after. So, investing $10MM and withdrawing it 20 times will get you the $200MM needed for the trophy.

Dont need to sell if you think it will increase again. Just do a quick phone save to lock-in that high stock price and sleep and exit out without saving to advance time. If it rises again do another quick save. When it starts to decline go load your high price file and sell 😉
