Love your videos and they are very informative. Love your comphy wardrobe. Question: can I use kiln clay like air dry clay? I don’t have a kiln, but I like to work with air dry clay. Just paint them.
@nukuaceramicsbonaire7 ай бұрын
Thank you Kay! Sorry, no. Clay for ceramics/pottery needs to be fired to high temperatures for the clay to transform into 'stone'. Maybe you can look for a ceramic store or artist that can fire for you. Much of my comphy wardrobe is also homemade. Comphy and airy is important in the Caribbean. 😀

Make slip with vinegar instead of water. It wets without puffing the clay up, therefore no cracking away from the slab. Run a soft fine brush, barely damp, over the points that stick up from the slip trail ends.
@nukuaceramicsbonaire6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. I don't see why I would do that, my slip hardley ever cracks away from the slab and it doesn't puff up. I also do not have these points from the trail ends because my slip is the right constistency. So I don't see the need to add vinegar. I will try it sometime to explore if there is a difference. I will let you know okay? Thanks!

That is a possibility, however that would flatten the trailed slip and I prefer it rounded. Just preference.
